COMPANY HISTORY
January 1998 - Whilst working full time for Corus (a steel company in Blackburn) Robert began to build a 2 barrel brewery plant at a local ehgineering works. The vessels of the plant began as lemonade makers which were adapted by Robert, who is a toolmaker by trade. (The picture to the right shows the completed 2 barrel brewery).
September 1998 - Robert moved his 2 barrel plant to a new unit - 19 Hamilton Street, Blackburn. Robert continued to work full time for Corus whilst setting up the brewery.

January 1999 - Robert's first beers went on sale, Bobbins Bitter being the first. This beer was shortly followed by Stokers Slake, Tacklers Tipple and Shuttle Ale. The area in which the brewery was situated had once been densely populated by cotton mills, and many of Robert's beer names reflect this. At this point, Robert brewed every Saturday.
June 2001 - Robert purchased a 10 barrel brewery, which he modified at a local engineering works so that it suited his needs.
September 2001 - Robert was made redundant from Corus and decided to committ full time to the brewery.
December 2001 - The brewery was relocated to a larger unit at Laneside Works, Stockclough Lane, Feniscowles, Blackburn.
December 2002 - Robert reached full production with his 10 barrel brewery.

May 2003 - The brewery diversified into producing bottled beer by installing a new bottling line. Robert produced his first bottled beer products which were Tackler's Tipple and Knocker Up. Stoker's Slake won First Prize at the Rugby Beer Festival.
October 2003 - Bottled beers went on sale in local supermarket Booths.
June 2005 - Bottled beers went on sale in a number of Asda stores throughout the North of England.

July 2005 - The Brewery extended further with the production of a further two beers in bottle format - Doff Cocker and Shuttle Ale. During this time 3 new beers were produced by Robert - Pinch Noggin, Knocker Up and Doff Cocker, increading choice of beers up to 7.
May 2007 - Bottled beers went on sale at many Threshers stores throughout England.

BREWERY TOURS - TO VISIT BLACKBURN'S ONLY MICRO-BREWERY
Three B's would like to invite you and a party of up to 25 people to visit our Brewery and experience Blackburn's only Micro-Brewery Tour!
Three B's head brewer, Robert Bell, is ready and waiting to show you how he produces some of Blackburn's finest beers. Demonstrating the complete beer making process, from selecting ingrediants, brewing and fermenting, to bottling and labeling.
You can also learn the history of the brewery and inspiration behind the names you see on the beers today. Once the tour has come to an end, you will have the unique opportunity to enjoy all of our beers in the Three B's bar above the brewery.
For only £12-50 per person (with a minimum of 15 people to a maximum of 40)
